Kayaking experience days for kids
Kayaking is our favourite! Days spent on the canal are always rewarding and great fun besides. We partner with an awesome local kayak company that operates on the canalside in Camden – close enough for us to walk there.
Our kayaking experience days must be pre-booked. They’re suitable for ages 8+ and you can book one or more. You can combine this with one of our famous Holiday Academy day trips, or just book a week’s kayaking. Pirate Castle also provides experience days focused on other activities like fishing or climbing. What do you fancy? We are super duper flexible. Don’t worry, we won’t leave them at the station with an Oyster card. Our kids’ days out in London are painstakingly planned and always delightful. We can’t guarantee they’ll eat all their crusts but we CAN guarantee they’ll have a brilliant time. We slap a high-vis vest on everyone and set off to broaden their horizons (and laugh a lot)!

Pick a venue that will hold your kids’ attention; cheap days out for kids include the museums and art galleries, which are usually more fun than you expect! Devise a mission for their trip. This could be making a drawing inspired by a famous work of art; hunting for graffiti on a planned trail; or taking a photograph of yourselves with a Royal Guard. One of the best cheap days out for kids is just to explore one of the beautiful parks in London – with a mission, it becomes an adventure. Allow plenty of time so you aren’t rushing. And plan a FEW options for lunch stops!
